LeBron James’ sneaker legacy continues in the new year with the introduction of the Nike LeBron 9 ‘Watch the Throne.’ The ninth signature shoe is named for and inspired by the 2011 album by Jay-Z and Kanye West. Hyperfuse material comprises the upper, while Flywire cables fortify the interior. Engineered textile wings that nod to carbon fiber offer further detailing, and the bold multi-color print is applied at the lining and laces. Gold-plated lace jewels provide additional detail, while the matching gold speckles are placed upon the Phylon midsole. Encapsulated Zoom Air cushioning appears at the forefoot, and a 180-degree Max Air unit appearing in the heel offers additional comfort. A rubber outsole wraps the design together.
